If your baby is finding it tricky to settle down for sleep, you’re not alone and with so many sleep aids out there, it can be hard to know where to begin. That’s why we’ve rounded up a few of our favourite ones to make bedtime feel a bit more relaxed, a bit more soothing, and (hopefully) a whole lot sleepier.

1. Sleep aids with cry sensors

Some clever toys are more than just cuddly companions. Take our Biscuit Bear Sleep Aid with Cry Sensor, it listens out for your baby’s cries and responds with soothing sounds and gentle light to help them drift back off. It’s like having an extra pair of ears in the nursery.

2. Cot mobiles

Yes, they’re cute but cot mobiles aren’t just for decoration. Our Biscuit Bear Musical Cot Mobile plays six calming sounds and gently rotates to help soothe your baby to sleep.

The movement isn’t just mesmerising, it can also help develop your baby’s visual tracking skills. Snooze and learn? Sounds like a win.

3. Sound and light machines

Sound machines can be brilliant bedtime buddies. Our Light and Sound Sleep Machine comes with 20 calming sounds, from lullabies and white noise to gentle ocean waves. The soft halo light is just the right glow for late-night feeds and you can dial it up when you need a bit more brightness.

Need something more portable? Meet Sydney Sound Bear a portable white noise machine with a handy strap for the pram and a soft nightlight for at home use. It plays a mix of soothing sounds and has three timer settings (15, 30 or 60 minutes), so you can choose what works best for your baby’s routine.

4. Night lights

Not every baby is soothed by sound and that’s OK. A calming glow might be just the thing. Our Biscuit Bear Night Light offers a rainbow of options (well, nine colours) to create a gentle, comforting atmosphere at bedtime.

5. Room thermometer

Sometimes it’s the room temperature stopping your baby from settling. If you're not sure whether your baby is too hot, too cold or just right, a room thermometer can help take the guesswork out of dressing them for sleep.

Our Penguin Bath & Room Thermometer gives an accurate room temperature reading and doubles up as a bath thermometer too.
