My Little Food Critic

We’ve teamed up with baby weaning expert Shikha Gill, founder of My Little Food Critic, to bring you this baby weaning recipe, perfect for lunch or dinner when you're feeling in the mood for pasta.

Ingredients

  • 50g red lentils (dry)
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 tsp of oregano
  • 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp of paprika
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 150ml of water
  • A handful of pasta of your choice

Steps

Step 1

Add lentils, water, and spices to asmall saucepan. Simmer gently for 8–10minutes until very soft and creamy.

Step 2

Add spinach and olive oil.Cook for 1–2 minutes until wilted.

Step 3

Blend until smooth and creamy. Adda splash of pasta water if needed to loosen.

Step 4

Cook pasta according to packet instructions.

Step 5

Stir through freshly cooked pasta.
