We’ve teamed up with baby weaning expert Shikha Gill, founder of My Little Food Critic, to bring you this baby weaning recipe, bringing sweet potato into tasty burger form.
Loaded with fibre, plant protein and iron! These are perfect for tiny hands.
The sweet potato burger recipe
Steam cook the sweet potato until soft and tender
Mash the cooked sweet potato and combine with the chickpeas, spices and olive
Mash everything together until smooth with a little texture
Shape the mixture into small, soft patties
Heat olive oil in a pan over a low-medium heat
Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until lightly golden, or bake at 180°C for 12-15 minutes
Serve warm with yogurt, hummus, avocado, or alongside rice or vegetables. Store in the fridge for up to 48 hours or freeze for up to 2 months.
It isn't just pasta we've added recipes for in the Nappy Hour Club blog. Working with My Little Food Critic pick a sneaky way to add more veggies to your child's diet below, or even a fun way to make pizzas.
